FROM OUR INTERVIEW:
What change in the fashion industry, or in women’s lives, are you most driven to create?
Carolina: What motivates me most is seeing the female artisans we work with gain confidence and independence through their craft, and knowing that their work supports real livelihoods. That kind of empowerment has the power to change not just fashion, but how we value what we buy and who makes it.
Barbara: What drives me to keep creating is knowing that as our brand grows, we’re able to create more work and opportunity for women in our community. Seeing that impact ripple through our whole team is what makes everything feel meaningful.
What legacy do you hope to leave as a female founder in fashion?
Barbara: When we started the brand 12 years ago, slow fashion was only beginning to gain visibility, and our business model was far from traditional. From the start, we chose to build around what mattered most to us: quality craftsmanship, sustainability, thoughtful design, and authenticity. I hope to inspire other entrepreneurs to trust their instincts, embrace the learning curves, and create businesses that reflect their own values.
Carolina: What began as a shared passion has evolved into a deeper purpose that now drives and sustains a long-term vision. My hope is to inspire women to build brands rooted in their values and passions. Brands that create meaningful, intentional impact and help reimagine the future of our society, consumer behavior, and fashion.
